Accommodation

All the rooms have been designed to maximise the views. We have eight luxury rooms that are available as doubles or twins, and can be adapted to accommodate one child as a triple.

During the day, the netting at the front of the bedroom can be rolled up to access a shaded private deck directly from the room. Bathrooms are off to the side to provide more privacy, whilst ensuring an unobstructed view out.

Luxury

Luxury Rooms

Our luxury rooms retain the essential ‘tree house’ aesthetic, with canvas walls and thatch roof, but with even more comfort – Evening Breeze cooling units will be installed over the beds. In addition, our new water filtration system ensures crystal clear pressurised showers and solar provides all our power. 220V inverter power is available with wifi in the rooms.

Privacy

Private Suites

Our two suites offer superior luxury and maximise the prime locations in the camp. They are similar in design to the luxury rooms but are larger, and have a private boma area and outdoor bath.

The sunset suite has been designed with families in mind and can facilitate two adults and two small children, while our lagoon suite is the perfect base for a honeymoon.

Mealtimes

Dining

Mealtimes at Lion Camp are social occasions, with fabulous food and plenty of stories from your hosts and fellow guests. Our menu is varied and healthy. Mealtimes are a combination of buffet style and individual dining; we also offer private dining for those seeking a more intimate experience. All food is prepared on site from fresh ingredients by our team of talented Zambian chefs.

Camp FAQ's

We are happy to answer more questions, please fill out the form below or email us info@lioncamp.com

What else is there to do at Lion Camp other than game viewing?

Lion Camp is a relaxed and friendly place to stay. In addition to the normal guided safari activities the lodge has a swimming pool, snooker/pool table, hand carved chess table, gift shop and well-stocked library for your use.

How many people can you accommodate, are there twin or double beds?

We have 10 rooms so we can accommodate up to 20 guests. This enables us to offer all the luxuries of a 5 star retreat, yet still retain a feeling of intimacy. All our rooms have luxuriously draped mosquito nets, cooling units over the bed and comfortable day beds with luxury en suite bathrooms. Our rooms can be either twin or double, and can accomodate a child as a triple, apart from our Lagoon Suite which has been designed with honeymooners in mind and has a fixed king size bed.

Can I upgrade from the standard room?

We have two Private Suites. For a little extra you get an even more luxurious room and en-suite bathroom with a stunning outside bath, your own private deck and boma area with fire pit, private dinners can be arranged and we can even organise a private vehicle to make your stay that bit more special. Perfect for Honeymooners and also for families with 2 small children.

"If you want the best safari you've ever had, go to South Luangwa... and if you want to have a safari and say "Well, you can't go on safari again because nothing will beat that" then go to Lion Camp"
